Clicksor Review

In addition to its own search engine, Yesup owned Clicksor displays advertiser text ads in a variety of methods on individual websites. Clicksor ads appear as text ads in banners and also in contextual keyword-highlighting of page text.

Clicksor is a new player in the ranks of pay-per-click search engines but has already gained enough reach through Yesup's network of thousands of indivudal website owners that it can provide a decent amount of website traffic. Because Clicksor is still relatively new, competition for even popular keywords is low and thus prices are as well, although there is a 5 cent minimum bid.

The biggest downfall which prevents Clicksor from gaining ground is its counterintuitive, sparse and buggy campaign management system. Navigation is unclear and steps to creating and activating advertisements are often unclear. Once you have an active ad and keywords, bid management is difficult and tedious thanks to limited bulk editing tools. Reporting tools are also limited to click and impression counts, with no conversion data.

There are no automatic payment options to keep an account active when it runs out of money. However, Clicksor accepts PayPal which most of their competitors do not, which may be a benefit to some advertisers.

While Clicksor has enough reach to deliver traffic fairly quickly given enough keywords are bid on, the traffic quality is lower than other pay-per-click search engines. Conversion rates are simply not up to par.

Reach: 200 million searches and text ads shown monthly on over 10,000 specialized websites.
